IPv4 Calculation | Find Network ID, Host Range, Broadcast ID of an IP Address

In this tutorial, I will try to explain an easy and clear method to make IP calculations or to find the network iD, host range, broadcast ID for an IPv4 address.

I will work on two IP addresses ( class A /8, and Class C /27).

Steps:
1. Convert Subnet mask, and IP address to binary.
2. Draw a Network ID – Host ID line and Calculate.
3. Convert results from binary to decimal.

It is important to get familiar with IPv4 Classes chart, decimal to binary conversion chart, and CIDR notation chart for IPv4.
