Hello guys and gals, it’s me Mutahar again! This time we take a look at what appears to be the world of online gaming and how it continues to get invasive. I will constantly argue for computer safety and find ways against some of the biggest companies in gaming getting more and more invasive on your system. Thanks for watching!

  • I get the idea of safety, but why not just build a computer that's used solely for gaming. Keep personal information off of it, and if it becomes compromised it's not like you'll be personally affected…

  • I wonder if we'll ever get an in-depth video about the Muta VM's configuration so we can replicate them and become Linux gamers as well 🧡

  • What shady websites you browsing lmao self expose pedos out there haha

  • You won't get banned lol you have the saftest least controversial opinions ever

  • I be watching all these videos even though I have no idea what the fuck he's talking about

  • isnt it crazy how these anticheats have insane access to our computers now, and they dont even work to stop cheats? makes you think….

  • anti cheat software shouldnt be allowed to have kernel access to windows

  • Is there any definitive link or site that will discuss this in more detail? I think COD is really the only game holding me back from switching indefinitely to linux.

  • I seriously dont understand how much if a loser you have to be to cheat in multiplayer lobbies. Why do people do this?

  • It isn’t a Mutah video until he makes an AmogOs reference.

  • I haven't touched a multiplayer video game in years. I went through a day of "I want to play a new game. How about a multiplayer game? This one looks fun." Start the install after purchasing, and my computer stopped the install, asking me if I wan to install a kernel level driver, I aborted the install and went back to Steam, requesting a refund. I did this three more times, looking for a game to play and each one had a refund. And they were not all ring 0 drivers, either. I don't need my video games augmenting my system in that way in the first place.

  • I endorse all hackers out there to create or modify cheats that doesn't actually work but instead infect the target computer on install with horrible stuff, spread it to every site possible.

  • My brother is deep in the Fortnite cheats scene, and even though he has a hardware ban, he's got all sorts of tools to hop around anything Epic throws, even though he's needed multiple clean reinstalls due to garbage software. Meanwhile, I have to hop into a VM, which barely works sometimes, just to play my favorite game that had a direct hole into the kernel unpatched for 2 years. And I still have to be on edge! I also had to use a clean VM for a Lockdown Browser exam, and even though I spoofed it enough to get through the checks, apparently it wasn't enough once I was in, and I was immediately booted out – had to make up some BS to my professor, despite having zero intentions to cheat. As much as I love daily driving Linux, and it's streamlined my (mostly coding) workflow a lot, the few times where I need Windows makes it a royal pain to deal with, just because some bozos exist on the internet.

  • Kinda sounds like you are throwing buzzwords around without knowing the meaning of it all. The different between AMD-V and Intel vtx is that amd doesnt require you to exit for many things whereas on Intel you need to exit unconditionally for quite a few things. On an unrelated note, cheating is not an excuse for games to take control of my pc. Make it hard to reverse the game and make cheats for it instead of installing malware on our pcs and hoping it catches the cheat doing its work.

  • Cant blame you to use VMs to circumvent the issue of compatibility with these anticheats.
From what i understand, their issue with VMs is also the ability to spoof hardware ids easily and evade hardware bans.
Anyway there are a few exceptions, but nowaday performance is on par with windows and the main (almost only) issue is anticheats.
The only way for me to tell them is to use my wallet. No tux no bucks. Screw Battelcrap and Call of Cheaters.

  • Muta i'm so confused, literally like three videos i feel like you were just talking about how vpns do nothing but change the endpoint and doesn't actually hide anything. Cancelled my subscription because of you. Now you endorse it? What?

  • 4:47 what am i missing here? I see no difference whatsover.

  • 6:16 "Windows games on PC?" Maybe it's because I'm currently exhausted, but there's something about that statement that doesn't make sense.

  • is it possible to use a technology like docker to virtualize a windows machine and play the game with minimal perfomance impact? or is this just me not understanding well this technology?

  • uuum isnt anti cheat to get rid of cheaters, hackers in game lobbies? and not ppl who play the game legit even if via vm as their native OS dont support the game so vm is the way they can play a game they paid for…. its not a cheat, its if anything due to possible framelag n inputlag giving others in a comp game a edge. (not to speak of as prev mentioned anit piracy things they add make pc run crap, or work on a level they should never do on client side. (not sure why its not been bigger in hassle for them to use this seeing how some regions laws kinda outright ban this practise.)

  • also vaule on steam has its own anti cheat program for game devaopers that want to have one but at lest vaules anti cheat called vac however is onw of the only anti cheats that is very very easy to use and congure and is in fact linix compatbile. also vaules vac anti cheat is smart entogh to tell the difresce between offcal tird party mods that are comonty game mods from the cheating ones. heck vaules vac anti cheat is so configable it can even have whitelist and black lists that can be done on player that make there own game host servers thhat play games with vaule vac anticheat is puer super player server host frendly with game workshop and even thid party mod sopport too. not onlt that vaules vac anti cheat is just bult into the game and steam cleint that can be truned on or off when needed.

  • Ok. Give me access to it and I'll do it right now:

  • Ok. Give me access to it and I'll do it right now:

  • and this is why alot of AAA games with kernal level anti cheat programes will never be on apple comptuers with there own ports offcaly. this is bescue apple gatekeeper stops thsoe from runing at all by delfat and need to be asked to be run with permsion first. also apple hates therd party kernal progams that will never run atuotmacly anyway they be needed to be run manluy if there not black listed by gatekeeper in the first place that is.

  • 1-2% of people in terms of gaming is still going to be millions of people. That's millions of wallets.

  • honestly instead of making anticheat, they should fuck with cheats instead, like having dummy players that are hard to catch, simply not sending out-of-view players to the client, etc.

  • I honestly thought this was going to be about that guy who got banned by EA for writing "stfu" in chat.

  • I run Linux for my everyday and work use, got a system with arch linux on it. I got another system specifically dedicated to gaming, running Windows (and I don't use it for ANYTHING ELSE). I don't see any advantage of virtualization for gaming, at the end of the day you can get the same control on a dedicated system than a virtualized one with half the hustle. Gaming (specially pc master race gaming) is a Luxury, not a right (in case some one come to say that the can't afford having different systems for different porpuses). I totally agree on the fact that invasive software like those anticheats should't be a thing though, but if you are gonna end up installing them on a virtual machine anyway, just install them on a dedicated pc instead.

  • I have a setup where I have a GPU passthrough, and I run a debloated bare bone Windows installation, with tweaking it a bit, you can get as close to bare metal as possible, the input lag is only 2-3 ms higher than normal, literally can't distinguish between bare metal and a VM. Although, having 20 GB of RAM is a minimum for some games.
