Justin Rackliffe has found that FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) busting is an essential part of helping Fidelity include open collaboration in their digital transformation efforts. He will share practices and tools that provide oversight of associate engagement and foster a culture of shared responsibility and innovation at all contribution levels – essentials for open source in financial services.
Justin is responsible for how Fidelity approaches external open communities and oversee their emerging Open Source Program Office. That work tends to be reflected in three major themes:
– Compliance – How do we meet our corporate responsibilities based around internal policies and practices with an emphasis on automation and minimal bureaucracy.
– Community – How can we work across silos internally and externally to scale our efforts that focus on customer value
– Character – How is Fidelity perceived in the open source community and how can we increase our visibility and direct investment in consortia that help make us successful.
JUSTIN’S BIO
Modernizing open collaboration to decrease bureaucracy, increase compliance, and generally improve the developer experience. This includes tools to expedite analysis of work, but critically education around helping our development teams make informed and accountable decisions.
