Im excited for the shake mouse feature.. Sounds stupid, but 4K monitors in multi monitor setup, can be challanging.. Especialy with a gaming mouse with high dpi. I wish, they could work on better scaling for 4k. Due 4k resolution in linux is not allways flowers and dayblooms. I have not jumped over to the beta testing yet, but im also an nvidia fan.. The beta + beta = not that good atm. Nvidia driver can be monky in it self as it is right now. Nothing major that i have seen yet, but enough that i dont want to add more chefs to the soup
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Pretty sure there's a separate untested label, while unsupported means it won't work
I use AdobeRGB 100% monitor in windows. And dual boot to Linux Mint Debian Edition 6. Windows help keep the monitor colour calibration because Linux has no support for my BenQ SW2700PT 2K monitor for hardware colour calibration and software is not available for Linux. I am afraid Linux won't grow that fast sa we think. Because when it comes to these kind of things then the companies should start making software or apps for Linux too. But only if they want to. It's sad i have to keep windows on work PC in my photo lab for professional work and use a Pi box M.2 enclosure adaptor for running Linux.
/e/OS 👀Wtf!
Man, that so North Armerican. Don't worry about the price, just add this stuff and that stuff, what is a few hundred dollars more. Mmm, maybe I need to, I don't know, eat.
Check sRGB, DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB for more information. Anything over 100% sRGB is bad? DYOR a bit. I am disapointed.
Lol'd at the "Live, Die, Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow" reference!
Love all the references you throw in! (Like Stargate in the past).
Thanks for another great episode Michael!
Edit: "Live, Die, Repeat", not "Love"… Sorry, hard to type on a phone for me… XD
Dude, thank you for calling out 1080p. It needs to go away forever. Freaking smartphones ship with 1440 and higher, I don't get why 1080p still ships on laptops. It's the very first thing I check when I shop for a laptop. 1080p is never, and will never be, an option for me.
Using Ultramarine 40 Plasma. Nice not to go through my 15 minute post install routine usual with Fedora. This laptop performs best with Fedora. Nuked Arch when I saw this went stable. Pretty happy with it.
I will most certainly be sure to like that smash button.
20:07 1080p might be better for battery life.
Fedora is not replacing Anaconda, they are changing the Anaconda UI to the new WebUI which is also shared with Cockpit.
Wayland is planned, and they may switch to GNOME remote desktop with RDP for the installer.
Anaconda is more than just the UI.
Unsupported label should be renamed to Untested. But in the software industry the term unsupported is actually correct in this case. Just like Linux is unsupported by many devs does not mean the game would not work.
I think there should be a counter that shows how many players are playing the game on the Steam Deck, regardless of the badge. That would help with games that have no rating or a lower rating. If a multiplayer game is unsupported, but has lot of players currently, then you can assume it is working. If the game has no players, then there is a good indication to not working on Steam Deck.
I'm a little unsure what to make of your bit about sRGB. If you want coverage of the Adobe or PC3 colorspaces, you'll need more than 100% sRGB. And any monitor that does so I would expect to have EDID information for calibration. I'm not sure what downside you see there.
Plasma 6 is so broken (Wayland) ;=)
Wow! Once again great new Plasma features I think I can use!🥳🤓😜 Thanks KDE people!🥰
Whenever I hear intel. I just think meh.
How is giving it straight, as in stating obvious facts, annoying? Are we in a time when everyone wants to be lied to?
It's just pronounced "eeeOS" 😂😂
Conscript…he used the linux and macos backers money to deelop for windows and shady consoles and then he said he will refund out of his wallet? Its a lame game i dont think it will sell well ,i dont think he will refund ,he will came out with a lame excuse.
24:56 you hear that bungee? Let us play destiny 2 on linux
1080p is fine for a laptop. Most people don't need more and more pixels is just a waste of money and battery life.
This channel is seriously! Underrated.
