  • Thanks for the video Dave! I got a GO/PT camera last year and have been very happy with it. I was surprised that even over the winter in northern Minnesota, where it seldom got above 30ºF, the solar / battery never ran out of power (The battery did get down to about 40% a few times.) I was thinking about getting another camera and saw that there are some similar cameras available now (i.e.: SOLIOM S600) with lower prices. I can't find any videos comparing them to the GO/PT. I don't know if comparing competitors cameras might effect your relationship with Reolink but it might be something to consider. BTW, I got the aftermarket antenna you reviewed and when I went up to install it I found that my original antenna mount was broken. I suspect that mine was from a woodpecker attack! The antenna was hanging by the wires but it still working. The replacement is an improvement. Thanks again !

  • To bad it doesn’t have a zoom lens like other cameras have

  • How do you go about getting a SIM card and setting up a data plan?

  • This camera was an excellent step by Reolink. I've been using ten Eufy cameras and wanted to buy a 4G/LTE from EUFY, but found out that EUFY 4G DOES NOT SUPPORT CLOUD storage…that was such a ridiculous fact for me that I immediately decided for this Reoling Ranger cam. It is awesome, I love it and I even take it with me wherever I travel to keep watching the hotel room, when I am away. The camo color is absolutely perfect!

  • It seems to be an effort for him to speak after the video I'm sure he needs a nap 😴

  • How does it work with cell service? My farm is in a bottom and has trouble with cell cameras in certain areas? Thanks

  • Hello, thanks for your review! Does this camera still have the 2 way audio and siren/alarm button on the app?

  • Great video. Does the camera scan and rotate on its own when picking up motion (i.e. does it pick up motion and then rotate to follow the motion scanning left to right on its onw)?

  • Thank you for the video. In the winter it can be -10 to -20, what happens with the camera when it's been raining. Does the camera still rotate or does it get stuck because of the water being ice

  • I have two of these cameras go pt and go pt plus really like them would like buy one of these keen cameras but I'm not buying any of their cameras until they increase the motion detection range to at least 60 feet as of now its not even enough range for home security

  • I have recently bought a keen ranger camera so far I love it taking great videos but for some reason my camera only takes 8 second long videos I caint seem to find a setting to make the video length longer? And then it has about 1 minute interval between videos

  • hi i have a keen ranger pt i not had it over a year yet i am having truble with it not geeping in charge i half to take in down from my tellphone pull i have 3 of theis camreas and i think the baterys are not keeping a charg it is under warranty still but not having any luck with tec support on geting back to me anmd send it back you have any ideas on what i can do sir mike

  • This will be my first camera. I am ordering the camera and 32G chip. Is there anything else I need to order? Cell minutes? Is that a separate card? Thanks.

  • Is it possible to download high res files from the app, or do you have to download from the sd card? 😊

  • Two of the go pt batteries go bad with solar like mid winter do you know of a way to replace batteries or added an external battery.

  • If my phone changes from 4g lte to 5g will camera still work?

  • I would to use the camera for farm security, but have a small dog, a Foxy, plus there would be Wally hoping around, so can I set so just a human only detected ?

On the Infrared Night Vision, it says it a 12PCs 940nm no-glow IR LEDS

So as I want to detect a human, will they see any lights, and then be aware of a camera ?

Again good reveiw and look forward to your relpy

    🐉

  • Hey Dave thank you for shareing What sort of life expectancy do you expect from this model and length of warranty ? reason I ask the Suntek HC 900 pro I only had it running 5 days max and it is stuffed LOl Im hoping this Keen model is a much better quality camera and do you still recomend this camera?

  • I bought the rio link pt after seeing your review. I found that it only worked with t mobile so I checked the coverage map and saw I was within their coverage. So I went to t mobile with the camera, explained that I needed a SIM card for the camera. The salesman checked the coverage map also and said I would be fine. I bought a SIM card and put it in the camera at the store with the salesman and the camera worked. I then went back to the place I was to place the camera and found it would not work. I tried placing it 10 feet higher in the tree- nothing. I tried using an antenna extension ( 20 feet high now). Still the camera would not operate. I contacted rio link and they gave me several things to do but both worked. They would not allow a return so I have a $250.00 paper weight. T mobile was no help either. Today, I see even much cheaper cameras that either work with Verizon or will automatically select the best service for the area. I was very disappointed. Rio link seems to lagging way behind in this fundamental ability.

  • if someone walked up and stole your camera and you got a notification, would you have a picture/video of the thief or is that data only stored on the memory card unless you retrieve it. Basically, does the notification send an image with it?

  • Thanks for the excellent video. I am not an outdoorsman. Nor am I a techie. But we do own a small acreage home with a wooded wild land scape boundary my wife and I love very much. Lots of trees, vegetation and wildlife of every kind. Our new neighbors appear to be trying to set the conditions for an adverse possession claim on this portion of our land because the property line is just a tad bit closer to their house than ours and on the other side of trees and vegetation. I have tried Apeman trail cams which are good value but hit and miss and I have to go out and remove them to download and install new batteries which doesnt help me stop trespass and highlights their location because it takes a few minutes to mess with it. I need something that is more real time and the Reolinks look good on line. What about false alarm detection? Our trail cams fail us due to this one issue alone — the SD card fills up sometimes overnight due to all the tall grass and leaves and wind and bird sounds. How about this Keen in that regard? I need to be able to set this up in the trees quickly before they see where it is because I need something to show when they trespass. Is this a quick install and will the panel charge the camera inside the wooded area from what you have seen? Also I see comments below about boosting with remote antennas… May I ask what is this for? WiFi or to connect to the LTE network? What if I buy a second Keen? Do they operate similarly with separate LTE accounts (i.e. $10.99 per month x 2)? Thanks for any insight.

  • Is this compatible with Verizon 4glte? Anyone knows?

  • Hi – is there a PTZ trail cam that does color nightime videos and has a removable battery?
I like the Campark, but without a removable battery it doesn't seem practical to recharge in tbe field. I live in a foggy area and often place cams under trees, so assume the solar panel not work??

  • Solar panel absolutely does not keep up. I have to pull camera and bring to my house and charge every 6 days. Pretty much useless.

  • Question? I might have missed it but if the camera stays on while it detects movment, how does it preform in windy condtions? TY

  • How do you think the keen compares to the ebit cam? Which do u prefer? Thank you

  • You have tried many cameras, what do you feel is best for a trail camera?

  • Thanks, good job. Sorry if I missed something that seems important, and so I ask you: 1- it is possible to correct the REAL camera exposure via APP? I noticed in your footage often a light tendence to overexposure; 2-how is the minimum focus distance? 3- (but someone just asked this) if it's possible to record files in high quality in the SD, operating manually on the app…

  • pretty impressive. My concern is the antenna. I have terrible cellular service on my lease here in N/W Louisiana. I currently have 4 Spypoint cameras. Each one "had" very poor service with the little omnidirectional antennas. I bought for high gain directional external antennas. It was a world of difference. I went from 25 to 50% signal to a rock solid 90% signal. I note the antenna on this cam moves with the PTZ. This should not be a big deal when connecting an external antenna if I leave a little loop of small coax. Unless of course, the cam rotates 360 degrees. Then we have a problem. What is the turning radius of this cam?
    Thanks for the excellent review.

  • Great info and very interested. But how does the SIM card work? For example what cell service and cost for the service? Can I add it to my current cell company which is not a major carrier but big in my north woods area (Cellcom) which has their own towers but also use the Verison system. I’m just a little confused on how that works out. Any help to understand this would be greatly appreciated.

  • Could you plug the camera into electric full time? I have electric available where I want to mount it.

  • Quick question for you Dave. Do you know if you can record with batteries when motion isn't detected ? Here's the scenario. I want to setup so that the camera is facing the blind from the woods edge but the game might be too far away for the camera to pickup the motion. I'd like to be able to record them while I'm in the blind if that makes sense ? I don't see a way in the app to for a recording to happen.

  • Boo. The Keen Ranger cameras are made in communist China. People should buy cameras made in the USA instead.

  • Why do you always shout? Just talk and stop saying “camera” other than that review is ok!

  • thanks for the review, I have 2 trail cams based on your recommendation and others, so I may get this cam once we get our property

  • Do you know where I can buy the upper housing on a regular PT GO. I have one with bad connector for solar panel. I have emailed Reolink China.
Aso see that Amazon had a kit with a bunch of connectors

  • I loved my go pt plus until it stopped charging in cold weather. I wish I had known about this issue beforehand.
