Learn Microsoft Active Directory (ADDS) in 30mins

With a skillset that focuses purely on the cloud, it can leave some some companies vulnerable in terms of a lack of knowledge with on premises systems such a Windows Server 2019. In this episode I take a look inside Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services ADDS in order to bring you up to speed in exactly what it does and more importantly, how it works. We start at the basics and through demos, I’ll take you on a journey that will not only provide the knowledge to configure and manage Active directory, but also use this knowledge to improve your cloud skills.

  • Buckle up or buckle down?
    It should be buckle down for this specific case!
    Anyway thank you for the great content

  • Kudos for this web hosting guide! Ive dabbled in Hostwinds and Bluehost, but Cloudways with TST20 coupon is the actual hero.

  • can you please do the install of windows active directory asap please!

  • Sir can I have run command to open ad and some settings commands also.

  • Hello Andy great presentation. The replication described in the first portion, is that done using option three, add other servers to manage? Thank you for your presentation and I look forward to hearing your response.

  • very informative video…… appreciate! really helpful i have given you thumbs up :}

  • As hip as the cloud can be these days, I do try to be as knowledgeable with AD as possible because it's still the on-premises backbone of so many corporate networks. In fact, most places I've visited are definitely doing hybrid identities between AD and Azure. I've only visited one company that was migrating from hybrid to pure Azure.

    This is solid content and it was a nice refresher for the parts of AD you might not be exploring on a daily basis.

  • So very useful. There is an unlimited number of tutorials on youtube but only 1% can call themselves a teacher. And Andy is one of the best. Thank you!

  • As a cybersec student it really helped me understand AD DS very closely and go beyond on the bases of this knowledge. Thank you Sir,

  • Good day, Thanks for your great work and the way you explain it. I tried many ways but i couldnt figure it out…can you help me….thanks in advance.

  • I am loading up on the quick overview as I have been out of Windows for 10+ years in favor of Linux. Just had a job offer come in (Windows Engineer) and I am checking in to make sure I am not as rusty as I think I am. On to your other videos!!
