Linux News – Chromium Performance Improvements for Ubuntu and New Deb Build for Mint
Linux Mint are now building their own deb package for Chromium browser, since they disabled the ability to install Snap packages.
Meanwhile, Canonical have been trying to improve startup times for Snap packages, focusing on Chromium. They’re using a different compression algorithm (LZO instead of XZ).
