Linux Secondary DNS Or Slave DNS Server Configuration
In this video i have shown you how to configure Linux Secondary DNS Or Slave DNS Server Configuration. Linux DNS Server can be deployed in 3 mode, Primary, Secondary and Caching Only Mode. By default if we install the DNS Server and Just Restart the Service, it will act as the Caching only DNS. But if we want to configure a Regular DNS Server to serve zone records then we need to host zone with the DNS Server that will make the DNS as the Primary Or Master DNS Server for that zone. We can configure another Server to Host the Same Zone file for redundancy, if Primary or master server goes down then the Slave one can Provide name resolution Service for that zone. I have shown in detail how to configure the Slave Or Secondary DNS Server.
