Lawn mower or an electric saw noise??
Here’s a quick fix for annoying laptop fan noises.
Now of course, cleaning the fans from time to time will help as well but that requires opening your laptop.
For most people this does the trick but for very dusty fans you would have to get them cleaned out at some point.

I noticed nobody is talking about this and I know this is a 3yo video but I found out that, at least for me, there is no option for “system cooling policy”. I only have Minimum processor state and Maximum processor state and nothing in between. Do you know what could be wrong? Thanks.
Thank you so much. Suddenly it started to work smoother.
What’s the new video to fix the issue
bro ,I've no processor power management selection on the power options…

It works thanks
I was encouraged watching your fix (my fan got loud after installing CCleaner, since uninstalled) but when I followed your steps, none of the drop-down items showed, just Desktop Background Settings, Sleep, Display and Battery (running Win 10 on an ASUS Vivobook). Kindly advise, thank you so much.

My old comment:
I couldn't find the advanced power settings from the "Power & battery" menu, but by searching "Edit power plan".
Also there was no setting for "System cooling policy", but the Maximum processor state can still be set to 97%.
Hopefully this solves my issue still 🙂
Is there a performance malus that is noticeable? Anyway my pc is making a sound it never made before, it upgraded from boeing to fighter jet. Anyway Ty for the help
Wow thank you..i am a trouble shooter now
So what if you’re trying to get your computer laptop ready to sell and you have to delete everything and bring it back to the factory settings will this all change back to 100 % from the 97%, 98%.?
How would you do this on windows 11?
