I still have a similar item, which I bought when I was living in Spain like 15 years ago. I used to use with my phone sim card and my computer.
This is bullshit. It says nothing in the ad about a sim card or having to buy data. It's says plug and play. And where's the tray that holds the sim card? Why would I buy data when I have a phone with unlimited everything that is super fast. What is the point of this thing then if we all have plans already with unlimited everything?
