  • What's Happening was my favorite show. When Mable King left it wasn't the same.

  • Loved her on What's Happening. It was an otherwise silly comedy, but her character and acting were first class. If I were the producer, I would have bent over backwards to keep her on the show.

  • RIP BEAUTIFUL LADY ❤😢😢😢😢

  • Danielle Spencer stole the show. She was the funniest on What's Happening. Shirley Hempfield was the second funniest.

  • let me start by saying she couldn't get enough work for as supremely talented as she was real talk look at the roster of the wiz and she demolished them by far not even close

  • Diabetes is nothing to play with at all! It will shut your body down piece by piece. Such a terrible disease.

  • She was beautiful and wonderful actress. As a person who struggles with my weight, myself, she did not look healthy by any means while on what's happening. I glad she was able to lose the the weight later on in life. I always thought she had a nice singing voice. God Bless – Jason.

  • Mable King was one of the greatest Gospel Singer EVER!! Rest Up Queen👑

  • Its so sad heartbreaking and unimagable on what Ms. King went through. She's still at eternal peace now in HEAVEN

  • She was a beautiful Queen, a lot of fun times down in the valley b4 diabetes took its toll.
I know you singing the blues and it’s a party every nite on heavens way!

  • Thank you for this commentary. Wonder what ever happened to old school classic black actors.

  • Mabel King❤️🤎. Excellent actress!

  • A fine black actress who got screwed by life's unfortunate circumstances. Her illness really limited her from great roles she could have had after The Wiz. She was reduced to notably guest and small roles. Having diabetes and a stroke, both which caused her limbs to be cut off, how horrible.

  • Glad I found this Channel its very good👍

  • I loved her in What's Happening but hated her In the Wiz. She scared the shhh out of me as a kid. I'm probably the only black person in America that hates that movie. Lol

  • i was just watching her on an old show called amazing stories. it came out in the 80's but i still love the episode, babysitter.

  • I remember when CBS evening news with Dan Rather did a report on Mable King who was sick and all alone in her nursing home she was so unrecognizable she lost a lot of weight and she only have one arm left and both legs amputated

  • I think we all saw those ailments coming. That's why I'm typing this comment in the gym. Lay off the sugar folks.

  • You do such a good job with your videos. Continue doing what you do!
