MailEnable Active Directory Integration | Setup FREE SMTP Server on Windows
In this video, I have demonstrated MailEnable Active Directory Integration. MailEnable is a Free and feature-rich Windows mail server. It can work as a Free SMTP Server As well.
MailEnable is a fast, reliable and secure mail server. It comes in both free and paid versions. The free edition is sufficient for small businesses. It has all the necessary features, such as SMTP, POP/IMAP, and SSL to be a complete mailing system. The free edition also includes webmail. It offers a web admin interface for remote management, just like other enterprise mail servers. So the free edition includes all the essential mailing features.
Here, in this video, I have gone over the details of MailEnables Authentications with windows and Active Directory. Normally, MailEnable handles the authentication of its users. However, the MailEnable Users can be authenticated using either Windows standard authentication or Active Directory. The key benefit is that strong industry-standard authentications are used, and User Management is centralized. It will be quite simple to integrate MailEnable into an existing Windows network because we will not have to create any Mailboxes on MailEnable after integration. When a user logs in successfully using either Windows or Active Directory authentication, mailboxes are generated for them automatically.

Hi! When using AD sync is there a way to have webmail or outlook sync the logon credentials for a single sign on type of environment?
Hi, can't seem to find it but to confirm, did you do any tutorial for users inside a domain to be able to send and receive external emails like gmail, yahoo,etc.? Because currently my users able to email each other internally but they aren't able to send and receive email from external people.
Firstly, I owe my gratitude. Its very clear demonstrate and so sincere friendly. And I would like ask a question about active directory integration. If I desire to integrate login name with only ad attribute of email. Is there way to do it? As seen in this video I could only login name at the login on mailbox. Thanks in advence.
Can I run it in windows server 2008 with a domain controller??
Amy restriction as user can not access company website also the same name applies user email domain …not sure what restriction however on standalone machine user can access email

Also there seems to be an ldap service in enterprise, seems like that ldap service is a connection with mainenable's own user pool in postoffice, not an external AD server…
Any ideas?
