Memorising Private IP Address Ranges

Remembering private IP ranges can be made easier by using mnemonics or simple patterns. Private IP ranges typically fall into these three common blocks:

Class A: 10.0.0.0 to 10.255.255.255

Remember “10” at the start, it’s the first octet.
Class B: 172.16.0.0 to 172.31.255.255

Think of “17” and the range 16-31, which makes it easy to remember.
Class C: 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255

Focus on “192.168,” which is consistent for all Class C private IP addresses.
Additionally, you can create an acronym like “ABC” (A for 10, B for 172, and C for 192) to help remember these ranges. Practicing and visualizing these patterns can make it easier to recall private IP ranges.
