MSFS 2020 – RX580 VM Test – Grand Coulee Dam quick flight Cessna 172
Flight Simulator 2020 testing on a Win10 guest OS with an RX580 passthrough GPU and 16G ram. Host is CentOS 7 running ZFS raw image files for the guests. Host has E1650 Xeon and 96G ram. ZFS are 2 poos set as 3 mirrors each, one with WD spinning disks and the other with 6 1TB Micron SSD’s. The Win10 guest runs all game files split on the SSD pool, but most other Steam games loaded on the WD pool.
I can post all the game tweaks to get it running reasonable ok if anyone wants. This video is at a lower bitrate, due to our slow internet uploads. But the game runs at 2560×1080. The game graphics are set to low then tweaks for some at medium and high.
