    lol

  • Nice video! When you typed "lsg Xena" it found the image's path right away. I couldn't find lsg in my package manager. What is this lsg command?

  • Dude! Why you do everything in dropdown terminal? It looks ugly. Stop doing that and also fix your resolution or font size whatever is it.

  • I'm struggling to read HTML in mutt/neomutt has anyone else overcome this ? If you have, may I have you help. Many thanks 🙂

  • When I hit enter, the status bar says fetching, then sorting, but it never opens the email.

  • I know this comment is late by at least 4 years. Nevertheless, great show notes and a solid video.

  • Great video, Thanks! Can you do a quick video on mailcap please. I'm trying to open a .doc and .jpeg attachments on mutt, and I cant get it to work. It says "no matching mailcap entry found"

  • Login failed….did all you said, plus all other solutions available, still can’t login successfully

  • I was using a different setup but just started using yours. great video as always, works perfectly!

  • I'm searching for am mail program which store each single mail in an extra file. Prefered *.eml So I can have documentation of my company corespontenz. Which one is the best one?

  • Thank you. I've been looking for ages for this. There are tons of articles and videos that just show sending with basic mail, but not management. Thanks!

  • Can you integrate Gmail contacts into mutt? Thanks.

  • great tutorial on mutt (y) …; another thing, what is the application that echoes back the keys you press?

  • Hi. Thank you very much for the video, everything is very clear how to use mutt -om
But not clear how to connect a mailbox: Gmail, Yahoo, etc using IMAP and how to configure them security to encrypt your password using "GPG"
If you can, do more videos lesson and please throw a sample of your configuration fail "muttrc" and "mailcap"
    Thank*

I translate through YANDEX translator I hope to be clear

  • "Login failed. —Mutt: (no mailbox) …" ?
    – the folder com.gmail.userX was not created by itself, and manually making it didn't change the login failure
    – inside the file account.com.gmail.userX, I have no idea what the difference is between imap and smtp, so I used the same gmail password for both
    – the lines with: set smtp_url =….. and set folder =…. end with numbers – I left those unchanged.

Is the login failure due to one of the above?

  • I wait for this video for a long time! Can you explain in detail to protect private information by using mutt

  • Awesome!  Thank you for making this tutorial and sharing your instructions! Can't wait to give it a try now!!!

  • i don't know if you still remember this lol i asked once about a way to make my PC take a picture and send it to email .. Mutt was the solution 😉

  • Note for people using GMail. You can actually add +anything on your email address and still receive emails. For example, if your email is something@gmail.com and you write your email like this something+stupid_site@gmail.com it will still work. Difference is, now when you get spam you know which site betrayed your trust and can easily filter that.
