Kris Nóva – A bone-chilling look at advocacy
Join Kris Nóva as she goes into the lessons she has learned over the past 3+ years as a developer advocate. She will talk about her strategy with public speaking, and how advocacy relates to the rest of an organization. She will leave us with a very spooky surprise at the end.
Kris Nova is a technologist who focuses on security, intrusion detection, and the Linux kernel with Kubernetes. Nova is also an ambassador for the Cloud Native Computing Foundation. Previously, she was a developer advocate and an engineer on Kubernetes at Heptio/VMware. She also worked on the Microsoft Azure Kubernetes engineering team. Nova has a deep technical background in Go/C/C++ programming languages. She has authored many successful open source tools. She has been contributing to open source since highschool, and started contributing to Kubernetes in 2016. She is an O’Reilly author with the book Cloud Native Infrastructure. She spends her free time climbing mountains.
