TBF – I periodically rebuild my machines anyway.
At home, on the coffee table (laptops), and at work I have a float laptop which I use when rebuilding my work PC.
The reason for this is that:
i) You should have a backup, and if you have a system 'issue', your first step is to get the files you need anyway.
ii) The more time you 'waste' using these tools, the further you could be into the rebuild.
IMHO – a newly rebuilt PC works as well as it ever will, and unless you've got installs that are unavailable etc, or under time crunch, then it's the way to go. It gives you the most performant and cleanest baseline.
Okay, I think a video needs to be done on this. My typical practice on my computer and has been for a long time is set multiple partitions on your drive. One partition for storing all your documents. I had a problem with this once windows moved to the GPT due to it already maxing out the partitions. Another option is to use portable apps as much as possible as this will ensure fast startups and not bogging down your CPU with background processes and it keeps your registry clean. Most people can get a 6th partition easily with Hirens or similar. Win to USB may be an option also, but the problem with that is slow startup. Could you do a video on these? I've fixed BSOD with win repair discs, Gandalf Redstone and Hirens. Typically I look up the error and in most cases I've come across it was a simple registery fix that I just used CMD or a registry repair tool

Tbh, in all my years of professional IT, I dont think I have once seen those tools work.
How do you remove all Microsoft applications like Microsoft edge most of the Microsoft programs are useless
I'm working on building a new PC with some components from my old one. I wanna keep the same storage devices. That being said, do I have to change any files or basically start from scratch and back up my drive first? Or can I just plug the drives into my new build and it work like nothing happened?
I was returning my new laptop to the supplier as I was not happy with the quality of it (5 days use). I needed to wipe the disc and re-install windows, as is recommended when selling/passing on a pc.
I tried 5-6 times to do this using the reset process in the settings menu to no avail – neither installing windows 11 internally nor with a download, the end always was ‘your computer has NOT been reset’ and then it refused to start just a black screen after booting up.
Really annoying!
so this has happened to me now twice. I get a blue screen and it says os couldn't load. klelam.sys is the file. it hits me with the "you need recovery tools." none of them ever work. i can get into CMD and use notepad to try and find it. It isnt in system32 drivers when I look. why would an antivirus (Kaspersky) also make my boot manager completely disappear? No amount of commands or cloning ever fixes it. I may be missing something and am very curious as to hear what you think? sorry this is so long… great videos+

Unless it's a hardware issue, then no matter how much you reload windows, it won't go away
I have the same problem. A couple of weeks ago my computer displayed the blue screen. I have tried to fix it using Microsoft's built-in repair options. Unfortunately none of them has worked. I am thinking that I must reinstall Windows. I have backed-up my computer using Macrium Reflect. I am wondering after I reinstall Windows and restore my computer using Macrium Reflect, will Macrium Reflect be able to restore everything that was on my computer before the blue screen? My computer has decade's of files, documents, programs on it that I don't want to lose. Do you think that Macrium Reflect will restore my computer as it was before the blue screen and do you have any suggestions as to how I can fix the computer or can a top-notch computer technician using computer problems/technology that he/she has fix the computer? Thanks for your help and your expertise.
