As some might say, Observability is a buzzword though everyone out there is talking about it. There are still not many resources that people can look at as an entry point into Observability. In a joint attempt by CNCG Mumbai and Code For Cause, this talk tries to do just that.
This talk is all about trying to shed some light on the following aspects:
– What is Observability?
– Why should you think of it?
– What are the different components/pillars of Observability?
– What would constitute a typical Observability stack?
– Why would you like to think of Observability as a default feature of the application?
Once we have an overview and a basic understanding of Observability as a whole. We will then dive into different CNCF Observability projects, look at what they do, how can you start contributing to them?
About the speaker:
Hi! I’m Piyush. I currently work as a DevOps Engineer for DreamSports(primarily DreamPay and Dream11) and am a Cloud-Native enthusiast. I try to be involved with cloud-native projects primarily via interactions with the community and contributing in any capacity I can.
