Octavia – Load Balancing for OpenStack
Octavia is now a top-level OpenStack project providing network load balancing. In this presentation, we will introduce the new Octavia project and what it means for load balancing in OpenStack. We will discuss the spin-out of neutron-lbaas and octavia from the neutron stadium including the ongoing merge of the neutron-lbaas v2 API into octavia. The team has started work merging neutron-lbaas into octavia in the Ocata series and plan to complete this work during Pike.
