Stan Janssen is the lead developer of an open source implementation of the OpenADR protocol, called OpenLEADR. He will speak about the “first 100 days” of open sourcing a product, what it means for protocol implementations to be open sourced, and the specific benefits of collaborating the LF Energy and the broader development community. During the presentation, Stan will touch on technical considerations for your open source product, the legal considerations, but most importantly, what collaboration with the broader community can bring to your organization. During the first 100 days, the response to OpenLEADR has been positive and constructive, with contributions from people all over the world, that come together to improve the product and to collectively share ideas and use cases.
