As of testing Cassandra, it is important to test how the database features solves the business/application problems and requirements. This functional testing is important for the adoption of the database by the developers. Equally important and relevant is the operational testing that caters to the ” database operator” personal. This talk presents a high level overview of different personas that are involved in a successful cassandra implementation. This talk will delve deeper into scenarios faced by operators while managing Cassandra clusters irrespective of the size of the cluster. The relevance of each of these scenarios is discussed at depth and finally, an automated approach to reliably test the scenarios is also presented.
