Overwatch On Linux | 1080p Max Settings (Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS)
System specs:
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
GPU: GTX 1660 SUPER
Memory: 16gb 3200 Mhz
Distro: Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS
I’m running Overwatch from Lutris with everything default. The recording software I’m using (SSR) kept the GPU utilization from hitting 100% and caused occasional microstutters that may be visible in the video. Without recording everything is buttery smooth and feels exactly like Windows. If you do want to play this on Linux, be prepared for the first launch to be stuttery and slow as the shaders are being cached. Just let it cache the shaders for a bit. Then every time you launch the game after that, the cached shaders will be compiled for a few seconds and then you can play without issue.
