Really glad you got the 1:30 in addition to the P99 "panel" talk, and were able to share this!
1h10min linkerd? are you kidding me? They abandoned their linkerd1 scala codebase and left everyone using it with no replacement. linkerd was nothing but a drain no the industry. Anyone who chooses a buoyant product gets what they deserve at this point and now I'm suspect of absolutely everythin Adam has said in this hour.
48min re: the point of IPO and overvalued business is true, and yet TEAM has been public at very high valuation at negative margin business for 20yrs.
I really liked that discussion, and that it didn't stop at basic "greed = bad, corporations = bad" emotional associations, and actually went deep into the weeds of "what actually gives the best results for everybody involved". I especially like Ashley's point of "if we conceptualize the free market as a system allocating resources where they have the most impact, then it's failing pretty badly in the case of open-source".
Big Corp's attitude toward Open Source is embrace, love, and buy out. 😅
Is it just me or is there no sound? Edit: there's sound now, guess I was here before YouTube got it's shit together
