linux web server
Short and sweet and to the point.
Thanks for the guide.
Amazing tutorial. I been trying to get this run on Ubuntu but I keep getting an error trying to run the game for the first time. I think the /.steam is missing because it fails to load files and it says No suck file or directory.
Hmm I don't see a GitHub in the description?
Hello,
Merci pour le tuto magnifique 🙂
Tu aurais pas à toute hasard un fichier txt avec toutes les commandes que tu à utilisé ?
Merci d'avance
how can i add mod
Thank you for your video 👌
How is windows compared to linux in terms of performance thinking of changing or dual booting?
Thanks for this easy and functional guide. I followed your instructions on an Ubuntu container and it was 99% good to go (only difference is some of the folder pathing inside of /home/steam) and got it up and running. Afterwards, translated a lot of your instructions into a Dockerfile and automated most of it. Appreciate you breaking it down easily.
hi, I do not create a folder ".steam" and all the files are only in /home/steam/Steam/steamapps/common/Polserver
when starting, the configs are reset here, what am I doing wrong?)
I'm really enjoying this game!!! Thanks for highlighting it on Linux Arch !!!
where can i copy those command
I cant copy paste the initial dependencies how do i make it line break to run those commands in sequence i only managed to get the first apt install software-properties-common. When i try to run the second line it says "unable to handle repository shortcut 'non-free' "
Great video!I happen to have an arm architecture server, is there an arm architecture version of palserver? steamcmd doesn't seem to support arm architecture.❤
Hell yeah dude! I just picked it up after watching your stream the other day! Glad to see this kinda info coming so quick.
what are the recomended specs for a cloud server for this?
I'm running ubuntu on my host, and when installing, I don't get a .steam folder created. Only "Steam", so My PalWorld server gets installed under "~/Steam/steamapps/common/PalServer"
Cool !
Pas trop chiant.
T'as vu l'erreur steamclient.so ? Ca doit être encore un symlink qui manque à la con.
J'ai lu les autres commentaires et ajouter l'auto login et lancement du serveur en tant que daemon ce serait un super tuto à faire.
Et faut expliquer à certains que ubuntu c'est pas debian… T'as testé en conteneur ?
A plus tard 😎
What do you put in for server difficulty? You left it as none?
I appreciate your video, helped me get the server up and running with zero linux experience. Any chance you could do a quick tutorial on an automated script to shut the server down, make a backup of the saves, and then restart the server on a scheduled basis? every X hours?
Do I have to purchase the game to host the server?
Great tutorial man, amazing. I just wanted to ask if your server settings, like Name, Password.. and stuff like that are being used by the server itself, because I noticed that in my case it doesn't changed the name neither the other things we changed.. I'm running in a digital ocean droplet, its working great.. except for that..
Do I need to have the game bought to host the server?
Is there any way you could show how to have the Palworld server start up on pc startup through systemd or something? I'm struggling with this and want the server to always be up.
I setup my server like you and its running but starts lagging after 15-20 minuten being online. The Server FPS is at solid 60FPS at start but is dropping then below and its rubber banding. Any Idea whats wrong here? Its running on a machine with 8vCores and 16GB ram (6% cpu usage and 4/16gb ram usage) at this moment
Hello and thanks for the great guide, everything works great! Im interesting to know how I can start the server at startup automatically; thanks very much for the help!
Thank you so much, with this I got my server to work 😀 Prolly it was working before, but all those errors got me confused. But as you said, it's normal, so I went to test the server and it works 😀
Cool man. I've run dedicated servers for various games my friends and I play. I was interested in doing the same for Palworld, and this seems to be exactly what I was looking for.
Hi i followed the tutorial, but i'm stuck at :
cd ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/PalServer
bash: cd: /home/steam/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/PalServer: No such file or directory
And i can't access cd ~/.steam because it's not exist apparently
bash: cd: /home/steam/.steam: No such file or directory
Thank you !
How to update the server when fixes from the developers appear?
