Please NEVER Connect Windows XP To The Internet…
Hello guys and gals, it’s me Mutahar again! This time we take a look at what appears to be a cool experiment I’ve seen floating around on YouTube where people connect Windows XP to the Internet only to have it infected within minutes. Why? Let’s find out! Thanks for watching!

Shout out to that admina rissian watching this 😂
I think even if you connect windows 11 with all updates directly to the internet, you have a big problem with hackers.
The problem is not connecting the Windows XP to the internet, but, by doing so as an administrator. Only members of the admin group can create, change and delete critical stuff in your computer.
I see another Mikrotik user
Well how "safe" is it to have Windows 10 or 11 connected "directly" to the internet? Heck i might try that on a VM.. or a fresh install of windows on a space PC and hook it directly to my modem. then try it with some distro of linux…
The dude has 13.4k subs, at least put a link to his video in the description.
I've got an XP machine for my old games .
i have so much work on my windows xp, thats the os i use for focused minimalism working, i listen to compressed music, i look at small images, i watch basic low quality videos files . sometimes i connected tot he internet, but then discconected cuz that deafeats the point. its god awful for entertainment, even if i wanted it. thats why i liked it.
i did not know this, so that was pretty good to know.
im guessing it's mainly bored russians seeing if they can find something spicy. 99 out of 100 times they're just gonna get someone doing what that guy did, using a virtual machine and the hacker just wastes their time.
One of my old employers (a big grocery chain) was still using Windows XP in their stores up until they got hacked in 2021 or 2022 hahaha
Yall might buy into the lie microsoft put out but i wont
All microsoft wants is more money they want you to upgrade so they lie about the system security and say there are issues. When i been usin xp for almost 2 years and 7 for a year and ain't had one issue except removin viruses from the systems
Used XP still last year , no promblens, until Avast stopped supporting it 😐 now days I use Win7… not as good but still wayyyy better than Win10.
…one more thing, XP updates, it still get those. Installed several one during last years to my computer .
I have windows xp and 7 both on internet and the only issue i had with windows xp was potentially unwanted programs wich i fixed and havent had anymore issues. I believe it was installed from factory like that because when i deleted the 4 viruses my windows product key deactivated so i had to call Microsoft and reactivate my windows xp because the company that shiped it used a infected product key and internet router security gave a alert that a threat was blocked the same day i connected i use a wireless usb not ethernet so its a lot more secure.
military industrial complex with high level XP devices: 👀😒
8:28 For example… Ooh, that's not good 😮
I want to know what would happen if you made a huge zip bomb, put it on an unsecured Windows XP machine, and just that, nothing else on the computer itself, just a zip bomb
I ran Windows 7 until about 3 years ago lol
Can we have something a little less entirely useless than 11 by 2025? Not everyone has the $ for useless win11 hardware that does nothing too.
Is there a good windows xp browser nowadays
Russian is a strange way of saying Indian
i remember long ago I plugged an xp sp2 from a static IP directly to the internet… got blaster worm in like 5 mins
My pc literally can't use windows 11 dawg I'm so screwed
Windows 10 market share: 69.89%. nice.
Windows 10 IoT LSTC gets security updates until 2034
Muta spreading misinformation, alright.
edit: yeah, he does address the firewall thing, but not after going through 5 minutes of alarmist spiral.
I'm pretty sure jimmy Johns uses WIndows XP
I like your computer videos, but I miss your creepy pasta.
"Don't connect your Windows XP OS computer to the internet!"
In other news, the sky is blue.
Been second daily using Windows XP fully updated, patched and 3rd party patched for OVER 5 YEARS now still fully connected to the internet. Nothing wrong had happened.
If anyone asks why am I doing it. Some guy was triggered on a discord server shouting at me for enjoying obsolete tech and I just wanted to show off
ngl the windows 11 update being mandatory is a pain , some computers cant actually support it very well or people dont like the features that are currently being offered on them. im not nearly tech savy enough to know if theres a way to turn off certain things on 11 but it bogs my computer down alot more than it should i feel like . more than it ever did with 10.
They are not using a firewall and didn’t pass it through a router 😂
Do phone modem connections still exist? Let me get out my U.S. Robotics 56K modem.
50 % of my goverment pc's are still on xp the others on 98
I have and still use an XP box because Adobe "flash player" is needed for "trainers" for older games.
Can't connect it to the net otherwise Adobe deletes the flash player file on you…
and never forget the UKASH virus used the Adobe updater to get ON your system and hid in the adobe update system32 file.
sid meiers pirates, etc. older games that don't have the "social re-engineering crap" shoved into them by activists.
Time to test my BBC Micro.
Windows XP is good to keep around for old software but I'd most definitely not plug that PC in.
Wait, wait, wait. How can I get hacked through my router? I am not going to do it, why would I even use xp? But how can you get hacked just by having the computer connected to your router which is the actual face of your network to the internet?
is not that bad, nothing will happen
Shit, I'm still on Windows 98. No issues.
Ironically his Windows 98 system didn't get infected. That said, your point is valid, it WOULD have probably been, it would have just been a matter of time. Ultimately, this is a case to upgrade your servers if you plan to host content, or only connect behind a firewall. Or to, at a minimum, not host anything (especially Samba) on machines out of support.
I wonder if my high school still uses Windows XP 😆
Looking back at the schools who still use Xp.
Why use an old Windows version on an old computer to connect to the Internet when you can use Linux instead. You’ll always get the latest updates (best on a 64-bit computer), you can install a lot more applications, and you don’t need to worry about viruses and whatnot!
October 2025 is the date when i take the plunge and go linux. Ain't no fucking way i'm installing windows 11
I just found an old slab top in my grandpa's house and it was running windows xp. I was going to see how long i can use it but it seems like ill have to install linux
X tree pro with a 28.8k modem lol
