  • After booting more than a dozen distros, I booted Pop_OS! and found my networked printer & scanner detected and configured without intervention. Its a keeper. I have better things to do with my time than stuff about at the command line with arcane poorly documented procedures just to get things done.

  • My issue with pop-os is having to customize gnome every install meanwhile ubuntu fits perfectly for my style

  • I was using PopOs for six months and I enjoyed a lot but I really missed the Windows 7/10 task bar at the bottom of the screen and its one box for each application running. If PopOS implements that in future, I may go back.

  • I've used both and Ubuntu with Vanilla-Gnome adwaita is better and Pop OS or Ubuntu stock. Of course I removed snap

  • I gave your video a like and commend you for your great, in-depth comparison.

Having said this, I expected a benchmark comparison but I may be lost in my own ignorance since I don't fully understand which distro uses less resources or uses them better.

I use Kubuntu because Clear, Pop OS, and Mint don't use KDE by default. Why people don't flock to KDE Plasma instead of Gnome or others… is beyond me. But I guess that's the beauty of the Linux community: options

P.S.: You should review Clear Linux, it is made by Intel and it is fast as lighting, quite efficient.

  • A distro I've been using daily for a while, & is probably new fave, is Zorin OS. I've never used Pop! yet, but it reminds me of Zorin, in the Ubuntu, but better thought out, way.

  • The quality of your videos is so much better than when I first subscribed that I had to make sure I was in the same channel! Awesome content!

  • Pop!OS package manager has all the apps I selected were just working after I install them. On Ubuntu not all apps I select work. And this is a big pain.

With Ubuntu I have had the EFI boot partition corrupt. The Grub2 bootloader isn’t liked by my system.
