Red Alert 2 Origin Running On Ubuntu 15.10 [PlayOnLinux]
With Red Alert 2 being free On-The-House on Origin, we take a look at how it performs under Wine in PlayOnLinux on Ubuntu!
Timeline:
1. Intro 0:00
2. 1600×900 Gameplay 2:21
3. Configure Red Alert 2 for 1080p 7:52
4. Configure Wine to 1080p 9:40
5. 1920×1080 Gameplay 10:57
I used a clean Wine-prefix, specifically Wine 1.7.52-staging on PlayOnLinux 4.2.9.
Nothing special was done to get this working in Wine.
The version of Red Alert 2 that was used here is the version that can be found on EA’s Origin client.
