REDHAT 8 : How to create PV, VG, SWAPLV, reduce & extend LVM partitions in linux | 2021 #westechit
In this video, you will learn how to Resize The LVM Online in Linux | Extend & Reduce (Shrink) LVM in RHEL | Logical Volume Management.
Do this Task:
01: Make a 1000MB partition in your newly added disk /dev/sdb and should be mounted under /westechit/new as xfs type.
02. Create 2GB LVM partition /dev/vg1/usrhome, mount the LVM /dev/vg1/usrhome to a mount point /usrhome.
03. Resize the LVM partition /dev/vg1/usrhome into 1020M from the current size and The Mounted LVM size must be within approximately 900MB to 1220MB useable.
04. Create a volume group named srv with 16 M Physical extents and a logical volume named app1 with 100 logical extents and mount it under /application1 directory.
05. Add 2048 MB additional swap partition in your system from the volume group named srv.

06. Add an additional NIC adapter to your VM and manually configure a static IP so that your VM can able to communicate to all device which is connected with westechit network and also able to browse a website https://redhat.com. Home task
