  • Man, it looks easy and simple but isn't work for me, still get a failure at the xrdp window when using rdp telling me my login failed. Now I remember why I don't like Ubuntu and prefer RHEL.

  • Thanks for the video! It worked. I recommend this video.

  • well I followed the instructions and while the xrdp starts.. when I try to log in from windows 11 pro.. I get login screen in window asking me to login to account when I enter info it says failed
sorry very new to linux /ubuntu

  • I worked on this. Even though it's functional, the color scheme on the Windows side is a little off. Any suggestions on how to correct/update this?

  • Just keeping the commands handy for copy paste:
    sudo apt get install xrdp
    sudo systemctl enable –now xrdp
sudo apt install ufw # if you dont have ufw
sudo ufw allow from any to any port 3389 proto tcp
    ip addr show

  • Finally! Someone gets how to do education videos! Short sweet and to the point. That was very easy to follow and I appreciate the video very much. Being a newbie I can get bogged down with way to much information to do a simple task. I want to learn and know how to do something, then practice and then learn about what it is I'm doing in detail.

  • I get a black screen for about 3 seconds and then logged out any ideas grate video BTW

  • no matter what I do, Remote access always says: remote access to server is not enabled

  • The remote Desktop window shows me a login window for xdrp. After I login again
I just see a white terminal window inside the remote desktop. nothing else. what did I miss?

  • Can you do the other way around? Remote access Windows from Linux?

  • which password should i enter when i try to connect ? when i try my ubuntu password everything closes and does not connect
