Repair Ubuntu running in a Virtual Machine
Shows two techniques for getting at access points that will help you recover a corrupted or non-booting linux virtual machine. Demonstrated with a VM running Ubuntu Server 10.04 in VMWare Workstation, but also works with the desktop running as a VM and in installations using Fusion for the Mac or other virtualization engines. Includes how to run fsck manually.
