Retirement is about exploring your wide open future.

It’s the last day as CEO of Mercedes Benz and the long deserved retirement of Dieter Zetsche lies ahead. To the applause of numerous employees, he takes off his company ID, says his goodbyes and leaves the company for the very last time. This could all be a very sad day, wouldn’t it be for the one thing waiting at home.

The future of e-mobility is taking shape. The BMW i8 Roadster reveals itself futuristic in every detail and gives you the freedom to go anywhere.

BMW i8 Roadster: Energy consumption in kWh/100 km (combined): 14.5. Fuel consumption in l/100 km (combined): 2.0. CO2 emissions in g/km (combined): 46. The values of fuel consumptions, CO2 emissions and energy consumptions shown were determined according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version applicable at the time of type approval. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers optional equipment and the different size of wheels and tires available on the selected model. The values of the vehicles are already based on the new WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to ensure the comparison between the vehicles. [With respect to these vehicles, for vehicle related taxes or other duties based (at least inter alia) on CO2-emissions the CO2 values may differ to the values stated here.] The CO2 efficiency specifications are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the European Regulation in its current version applicable. The values shown are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle for the classification. For further information about the official fuel consumption and the specific CO2 emission of new passenger cars can be taken out of the „handbook of fuel consumption, the CO2 emission and power consumption of new passenger cars“, which is available at all selling points and at https://www.dat.de/angebote/verlagsprodukte/leitfaden-kraftstoffverbrauch.html

  • Mercedes better ant they have more subs than you i still like a little bit BMW

  • I always figured BMW was the sort of vehicle for business CEO's, managerial, stock market and executive travel vehicles, even though many do buy to own it. I thought Mercedes was owned more by upper class families even though they're in the same price segment as BMW.

  • Honestly BMW, Mercedes and Audi know hot to make adverts while still finding a way to roast the competition!

  • The sportsmanship the respect truly the best car ad ever made another reason to love bmw

  • I believe he was a manager who was always ready to take personal risks and take full responsibility

  • Ads..cars..football..germans allways a CLASS act.

  • Very well educated management in automotive industry in germany ❤

  • This gets recommended to me once a year and it’s always a joy to watch. One of the best ads ever made. Goosebumps every time.

  • the German car companies are not actually having competition – they are just trying to push out their own products.

props to you !! I love you guys ❤

  • these adds are not easy in legal side, they have to check lots of other parts, approval of mercedes, to person

  • Now it's time to get a Merc! It looked very elegant. I love the BMW and I got one. I'll let myself fall in love with the Merc! 🙂

  • These are really terrible companies devils in disguise they put 12V batteries under the car seat never buy these cars otherwise it will take hours and hours to even replace a 12V battery result thousands and thousands of your hard earned dollars going for a stupid little car.

  • They both makes cars that keep going Back to dealerships!!! Nothing like a Japanese made car end of the story!

  • I couldn't agree more! Mercedes and BMW truly set the standard for the premium segment. Their vehicles combine luxury, performance, and technological innovation in an unparalleled way. It's incredibly hard to beat the quality and refinement they offer. 💪🏼🚗

  • BMW, Mercedes, and Toyota are renowned for producing some of the most durable cars. I own a BMW 320d from 2010, which has clocked 710,000 kilometers, and I still drive and love it.

  • The advertisement seeks to convey that irrespective of one's professional affiliation with Mercedes, returning home to drive one's personal BMW signifies a statement of equivalence between the two vehicles in terms of prestige and quality.

  • The only two German automobiles that meet customer expectations are Mercedes-Benz and BMW. Although expensive, their quality and precision are flawless. The true best engines of all time. Everything else is futile.

  • I think the guy didn't retire but was kicked out of Mercedes bc of mental retardation

  • I did not understand it, can someone explain?
