  • Can you provide the link to the product you are showing at 8:08 or is that invite only?

  • It's best to settle problem relationships before they fester too far.
For example, I once had a full volume screaming match with the CEO of a huge global corporation in the middle of a trade show floor.
We provided 20 minutes of entertainment for 100s of visitors and exhibitors.
The spat went down in the industry's official annals : The Year Of The Screaming Match.
However a year or so later I realised that the situation needed to be rectified, so I Fedexed that CEO a bottle of good red and good white wine. He replied with a friendly brief Thank You note.
I found out later the he also emailed all his staff telling them that an Armistice had been agreed and all was now well.

  • OpenAI needs to maintain and improve it's "magic sauce" .. which is REASONING.
No other LLM, commercial or Open Source, has achieved this level of magicness as yet.
The other laundry list points are essentially 'admin' or 'usability' features … in other words, nothing special or unique to OpenAI.
Note: if the secret recipe for ChatGPT4's magicness leaks or is stolen or is duplicated, and then appears in other products, you can reassess the OpenAI valuation downwards by 50% or more.

  • Based on the updates on their website, OpenAI has probably already achieved AGI internally. The training might take longer than the regular GPT models.

  • I am a fan of the podcast and I just want to say it is always delightful to listen in. Personally, I like when Joe and you go back and forth with different perspective on a topic. Somehow, when it is only one person, I feel like the secret sauce is not there. This makes me realize that it is your teamwork that makes this podcast great. I look forward to listening in to future podcast and thank you for all the hard work and fun commentaries. I have recommended your podcast to my friends.

  • Please consider going full screen on segments like 7:29. It's almost impossible to see what's going on if watching on a phone.

  • No AGI in 2024 from OpenAi, but they aren’t the only ones in the game.

  • Man. You guys are killing it. Tons on content this week.i think political correctness will go by the wayside with open source LLMs. The leaders just don’t want to do anything that sparks the eire of regulators

  • With today's thinking levels, the result of our current culture and educational systems, I suspect that a more polished version of ChatGPT could pass for AGI .. on the other hand, I also suspect that for the next 20, 30 or 50 years the only AGI we are going to have to worry about is dehumanized humans (or transhumans) ..

  • Talking about AGI is hubris and marketing. It probably won't happen in the next 20 yearsor maybe not at all with our current approach. We are nowhere near it, the transformer technology is just faking intelligence with huge datasets (like all LLMs at the moment) . That being said if anyone thinks a true AGI can be controlled, aligned or will bring anything good to earth is just naive and not educated enough just think about the implications if an AI can solve any encryption method.

  • I feel the AGI. He just kinda implied 2025-26. Just got to hold on till then.

  • No agi ever because the government wouldn't want that would they.
