Samsung 4G LTE for Verizon Hands On | Pocketnow
The unnamed Samsung 4G LTE handset for Verizon is the first non-slate smartphone by our count to have a 4.5″ display. It’s also the first phone to use Samsung’s Super AMOLED Plus technology, which didn’t really seem to add to the experience. That said, at 4.5″ the screen on the Samsung 4G LTE phone is awe-inspiring, and while the phone feels big in hand, it’s not much bigger than an EVO or [name your favorite 4.3″ screened smartphone]. We’re still not 100% whether we’re dealing with a 4.5″ or 4.3″ display here, and should have the answer shortly. Beyond that, we liked the addition of the hardware buttons. We mistakenly said in the video that the CPU of this device clocks in at 1.2GHz, when it’s actually just the same 1GHz Hummingbird found in the Galaxy S phones. It’s running on Android 2.2.
