ip address
now you can enable ssh using settings of raspberry pi imager
Great series of videos!! Very useful to setup different fundamental configs of RPi.
One note, though. Whenever you install OMV to use as a NAS, it uses systemd-networkd and removes dhcpcd on installation. The bright side is that one can setup Static IP Address on OpenMediaVault for Raspberry Pi by fixing the method to static, IPv4 adress to your IP choice for the RPi, netmask and gateway in the OMV under Network > Interfaces
great content on your channel, thank you so much
My router is only assigning ipv6 unfortunately
great video thank you – how do I stop my router giving out certain IP addresses? thanks 🙂
Sorry mate, your too fast for me I’m 73 and got a slow brain due to a head injury Do you have anything in text . Can you post your email address please?
Windows has had SSH built-in since like 2018, you don't need Putty at all.
Best vid on how to do this that I found. Thanks a bunch!
Love the style of your videos – very easy to follow for someone just getting into Raspberry Pi's. Watching a few other videos, I discovered that the Raspberry Pi Imager has a built in secret menu that can be accessed via Ctrl+Shift+X that has options to preconfigure and set passwords for SSH. Is there any disadvantage to doing it this way versus manually creating the file like in your tutorial? It also has options to save a few additional steps such as unmounting/remounting the SD card.
When creating the Raspberry Pi image…Just b4 clicking on "write", press 'ctrl+shift+x' and you'll get extra options to enable SSH.
really useful video, I checked some videos or articles before but I really like the way you explained. Simple steps and we are done. Thanks again!
Here is a tip: Do ctrl+shift+X on raspberry pi imager. It will help you enable ssh and network and some other things.
can i do this i'm on a campus network?
thx
Straight forward. Very simple. I just started to take this whole tech stuff more serious like 1 month ago. Its all so very addicting, I can't get enough of it.. I spend mostly all day studying and practicing everything I learn. Great videos man.
Are you practicing deep fake here? I notice your face looks differently sometimes. Looks like its glitching out.

I always come back to this playlist when I'm setting up a new RPI. Too useful! 🙂
As many people have said, this channel deserves many more subs and likes.
Nice tip the router only being able to set from 2 to 100 😉
