Setting your Camera's IP Address – Tech Support Tuesday – VLOG #009

In this video, Andy Chatfield (Lead Support Technician) reviews how to set a static IP address for your PTZOptics camera. The easiest way on most IP networks is to simply use our “IP Address Settings Tool” available at ptzoptics.com/downloads. But if you network does not allow for this tool to operate properly you can connect directly to the camera via a ethernet cable and use the network settings tools in Windows to connect directly to your PTZOptics camera. Once you have configured your computer’s network settings to connect directly to the camera you can then set a static IP address. This is a step some customers need to take who have corporate networks that block multi-cast tools such as our IP address settings tool.
