If you’re unable to find a job and you have the skill set companies want, it could be something that you’re doing or NOT doing.

If you’re ready for the TRUTH, pull up a chair, and join me in this episode of Real Talk. Let’s talk about why some people can’t land a job inthis HOT job market even though they have their CCNA Certification.

  • Love the experience section. I used to not apply to job I could've because jobs asked for 5 years experience and I only had 3. Wish I had seen this video years ago. Great information.

  • Man I needed to hear that about the job experience because I become disinterested and feel bad when I see the requirements.

Btw? I got my resume professionally done

  • Thanks for the advice bro because I’m looking at the Ccna jobs online and the experience companies wanted was like, wait , what 😂😂 so I now I know how to apply for jobs. Once I get my cert. Cool video and appreciate the knowledge.🙏🏿

  • Great video and advice! I'm trying to break into IT in my 30's should I go straight for my ccna and try to get into a noc position?

  • Thank you for making this. I graduated with an associate degree in business and IT over 10 years ago. Back in 2011. Never even used it. A bunch of stupid stuff happened. Life. You know the drill. But life is better for me now. I am rebuilding. But I'm still not working in my field. I work in a kitchen. It's just something I've always done. Then time passes by. In short, I want out. So I am taking steps to pursue a career in my field. I found this video very encouraging. I hope I'm not too old to be making a huge change this late in life, but I have to try.

  • Thank you very much for all these advice, great job 👏 you help me change my mind and be more focus

  • You can’t simply find a job because you can’t convince the recruiter/interviewer that you can do the job. Period.

If they are totally convinced that you are the person that can do what they need to be done, the job is yours.

You can have 80 certificates and 27 years of experience and nobody will handle you any job if they don’t trust you.

    And who’s fault is it?
    The recruiter/interviewer’s fault?
Not is yours, that can’t communicate effectively what you know and you can do.

  • For someone with no IT background would you suggest starting with CCNA?

  • You made me realize what I am doing wrong. Thanks for this video. Wish I had a sample resume to learn from but I will do my best on my new resume.

  • Someone says CCNA, CCNP, CCIE in Routing-Switching might lose its popularity over the time in next few years, as the industry is shifting towards cloud, network virtualization (SDN/NFV). Cloud infrastructure will make Security related courses very popular. Then what would i do? Go for ccna or having sdn?

  • I've been scrolling enough to find this video on YouTube , and Glory be to Jah!…I've found it , God bless u bro .!!

  • Thanks bruv that's exactly what I needed to hear. some real talk right there.. look forward to more content:)

  • What if you have 20 years of strictly helpdesk/desktop support experience and you recently completed your BS degree and you have CCNA and 8 other certs, but same or lower level jobs won't talk to you b/c they think you're over qualified (i suspect) and hardcore networking jobs won't talk to you either b/c you don't have that specific experience. And also your current job won't involve you in any networking exposure even after you politely asked multiple times. Awesome video BTW, thank you. This is in Raleigh too.

  • Awesome you're absolutely right thanks man I'm really appreciate your hard work.
