Skyline is an extensible framework for building flexible dashboards from reusable components based on the OpenStack system and correlative infrastructures (EFK, Prometheus, K8S Cluster, etc).
As we all know，Horizon is a straightforward and intuitive dashboard of OpenStack and provides simple resource and user management based on the cloud environment. However, limitations are apparent when managing cloud resources with Horizon. Compared with Horizon，Skyline is more lightweight, flexible, and user-friendly. It brings better performance and helps to manage large numbers of data centers more efficiently. Skyline allows users to customize their access and personalization to meet corporate requirements. More importantly, it Integrated with the more intelligent management, monitoring and maintenance solution, providing efficiency, control, and security.
Skyline UI is a pure frontend React JavaScript static web site served by Nginx, while Skyline API is an API server ( decorating few OpenStack / Prometheus APIs ) with Python FastAPI framework.
