Static IP Addresses with AWS Network Load Balancer (NLB) – AWS Solutions Architect Professional

The AWS Network Load Balancer (NLB) provides an option to add static public IP addresses in each Availability Zone in which the NLB has nodes. This allows us to know the public IP addresses that will be returned in DNS resolutions of the NLBs endpoint DNS name.

One of the reasons this can be very useful is if you’re connecting from a company office or data center that restricts outbound communications for certain protocols. In that use case, you can whitelist the NLBs static public IP addresses to ensure that the communication is not restricted.

This video is from my brand new AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional course in which I dive deep into subjects like this and teach you how to build architectures on AWS hands-on.
