how to repair windows 7
Maybe the smell was from that pair of shoes in the back seat. 🤣🤣🤣
I look at those filters as a fan protector. I want minimum filtration so I get most airflow and most AC in the summertime.
Love-ya Ray buy please use two hands and don't talk so much, oh yeah… and close the door, LOL
3:35 I don't have a problem with it, it is no different than any quoted job where some labor is done up front. Sometimes you get declined and have to eat the labor cost (which could be monetary cost if you pay a tech that labor, or opportunity cost if you do the labor yourself) but if you never quoted those jobs you'd loose out on 100% of them.
Another thing to check is the channel under the windshield on the outside. It is where the fresh air inlet is and also where the water coming off the windshield drains. If the drain hole gets blocked it can allow the water to drain inside the vehicle through the fresh air inlet sometimes leaving puddles on your floor board or just soaking your carpets and causing a bad smell.
The foaming cleaner will turn liquid and carry away the dirt and other contaminants. Might want to make sure the drain holes are and remain open. Cabin are filter the Super HEPA is not necessary over a regular paper filter.
Cabin air filters are a must have where I'm at,…..They work well especially when marijuana and diesel fumes are everywhere! Just set the system to recirculate and the outside odors disappear!.
I was told to spray BG fridge fresh in the fresh air intake with air conditioning running
Ronald Reagan “trust but verify ‘
When i was doing some service work (hobby) on some people's vehicles, i had 2 vehicles within a week, the cabin filters i swear had NEVER been changed out, one was a dark grey colour and the smell was rather unpleasant, and next one the filter was GREEN now i can still smell it to this day 🤢.
Ray has a machine gun for non paying customers? 🤔🤣
I do believe cabin air filters of any capacity are a good idea, as mine looked unbelievably worse than the one you showed, and mine only had about 30k on it. The pleats were full to the top with debris. Imagine all that blowing to the inside of your car.
In Australia, as far as I'm aware, it's actually illegal for mechanics to charge for unauthorised repairs that the customer did not consent to. This is because we had alot of mechanics running bills into the thousands for unauthorised repairs and forcing the customer to pay the bill.
That comment quote was Pres. Regan
I feel if the removed it and have to put one back in it should not charge shop hours. Add $10 and call it a day.
I like the Toyota kit you spray through the drain Hose and then spray the second can through the cowl into the blower. Worked well for my Camry when it started to smell like gym socks
ray to help with finding the hole as my dad said put some hair around it you will find it in the Dark:)
When I use a hepa cabin air filter the blower motor doesn't blow as much air as the Mopar OEM one does. The fan struggles and makes a wierd noise due to the restriction of air flow through the filter media. So for me I stick with the over priced OEM one.
This vid is so well timed for me personally as I have my own “Project Chrysler of Japan “ with rodent damage in the vent system🤦♂️👍

I say CHINA 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Mine has one. Mine needs replacing. I have a Doctorate in procrastination.
That is a stellar way to see if you have a filter.
I feel like I haven't heard Ray say "chinesium" in awhile.
I worked at an oil change shop back in the early 2000s. Part of the oil change service was the labor required to check the filters, differential levels, tire pressures, top off fluids, etc. We didn't charge labor for the filter replacement-if you wanted a new one we charged the price of the filter which was based on our cost plus shop markup. Some services like serpentine belt replacement, fuel filter replacement, coolant exchange, transmission pan and filter service etc. were a flat price that included parts and labor. Some vehicles had a considerable profit margin and others we probably lost a little money on depending on the price of parts, quantity of fluids, or how big of a pain the job was. For instance, a transmission service on one car might be quick drop of the pan, filter, new gasket and fluid. Another might require removing a crossmember or transmission mount, and/or jacking up the transmission for clearance, cleaning off old RTV sealant, a more expensive parts kit, etc. That's why there was an incentive to maximize services sold because not everything was an easy moneymaker.
If only cars had a service setting to run the cabin air fan in reverse so you could feed the condenser cleaning chemical down via the dashboard vents. You could reverse pole the motor I guess with a few volts while it was disconnected I guess.
Alternatively put a vacuum cleaner on the external air intake to draw air and cleaning chemicals into the honeycomb while feeding the foam into a dash air vent.
Ray love your channel like I said you’re one of the best on YouTube knowledgable and your camera shots are really clear and good keep up the good work my friend
BG makes stuff for everything.
Every car/truck needs a fresh air cabin filter. Not just for making the air you breath cleaner. But it will stop alot of the larger stuff from plugging the evaporator/ heater core. To change that filter a few times a year, is way easier than pulling out a plugged heater core
should have vacumed the inside of that tray before putting the new filter inside as dust might fall underneath while removing the filter
There are a ridiculous number of steps/fasteners/barriers designed into this cabin air filter system. One that needs routine disassembly for maintenance. I can inspect/replace my Mazda CA filter with no tools in less than a minute.
Judging by the amount of dirt in the old filter it only makes sense that it is necessary.
I would have given the carpets a vacuum before you started.
