• J, I just moved rural. I had one bar, i read some other people using cellspot_ minitower. so I called T Mobile. I told them my problem. They zoomed in on my house with his gps tracker. he said im not getting full signal because i'm rural plus my house has old heavy duty bldg material. so they sent me a mini tower expidited overnnite!! takes a few hrs to set up the tower and gps antenna needs to grab your location.. when all the lights are on i got a text from TMO, your connected succesfully, enjoy full strentgh. I never would beleive full bars in my house. Thanks T Mobile. Like you, ive been with Tmo 20 yrs so they waived the 25.00 fee. but I would have pd it. for this full Bar service,Talking again!! Full signal great!!!

• I got a 4G LTE cellspot today . After Quick setup , this device works fine with 4 bar signal , but it becomes very warm . Is it normal ?

• My internet is comcast 400mbps
  On the t mobile cell spot v2 I get 110-140mbps down and 14-20 mbps up depending on congestion from the Xfinity modem. Most of the neighborhood is comcast I believe.

• Hi J. I just ordered T-Mobile's 4G LTE CellSpot because my home Internet is down. So while I'm waiting for a technician to come in a few days, can I use this device to get on the Internet using my laptop? It's not just for phones, right?

• Great video as usual J, I, like you didn't know about the LTE cellspot, my wife had TMobile for years and I added my line recently so when I discovered the poor data speeds I had her call them and they sent us the device, they also waved the fee as she has been with them for years, now I am getting 60+ download speeds all over the house compared to barely 3, I also turn off WiFi when I'm at home now, so much better coverage it's unbelievable

• I just got mine yesterday. I used to get one or two bars, and calls were pretty bad. Now full bars all the time, and people say I sound like I'm next to them, or on a land line. These definitely work.

• I was very skeptical and still am. Basically you're getting a device that depends on your home internet connection to make calls and use the internet (which to be honest how many times does your home internet drop and for how long?) Plus your data still counts for using your home internet to broadcast it as a 4G LTE connection which I believe counts towards your prioritization data usage. I ended up getting the signal booster instead because as long as the tower near me is on I'm connected to it instead of my home internet. Then again this is a great option if you have zero bars in or outside your location

• I have one also it's okay. My area is just shady period at home. I get 10-20mbps. Now when I'm in the city I'm hitting 60 easy.

• Wow! Sprint already has those speeds in my area and I wasnt even on 5 bars on my S9. So I can only imagine what I'll get on Sprint. But I have a T-Mobile account. So, I should check into it as well. Thanks for this video, bro.

• @J.Williams thanks for sharing your expertise! I'm waiting for tmobile hot spot! On to arrive. With Verizon Fios 5G wifi mode I get 200 to 327 downloads speeds in the house on wifi! Device gs9+

• That thing is great and I love it. Only thing is if your internet goes out it does too.

• IM nowhere near your speeds, but it worked wonders for my home. I was roaming in the rear of my house.. now I have 2 lte bars. Worked better then expected my house is made of cement which makes it more difficult for the cell spot to penetrate but it did really well.

• T-Mobile signal through Simple Mobile is poor where I live. WiFi has made up the difference, while also allowing me to cut cable. Does that work with T-Mobile MNVOs like Simple Mobile, or do you have to be signed directly to T-Mobile?

• Like the review but what advantages is it over wifi? Because tmobile has the wifi calling feature that does calls and txting over wifi

• I actually thought you had signal because of band 71 and band 12 using T Mobile.

• I too have been with tmobile for more than a decade or more. I get all kinds of offers, deals, etc. Being the first company to use prepaid! Can you believe I have never gotten a tmobile bill ever? I started with pay as you go, then I got the $50 plan, now the $70 plan with perks! J, make sure to get the tmobile Tuesday's app. We will all get Pandora free for a year starting in September I think. I always tell people about them and how good the service is. I can't recall the last time I even called them about any problems. Maybe 2 years ago, and that was only to get a new sim for the S7EDGE.

• I had one of those at my old house. Worked awesome.

• I could use this, the only problem is that it requires extremely high speed internet to work. If you live out in the country (like I do) , the rural internet providers don't offer powerful enough home service to run this hotspot. It's a real bummer for someone like me who lives out in the sticks..lol

• Hey J this is good stuff. T-Mobile has been getting a lot better here in Vegas too. Oh and a bit of news if you haven't reviewed the Moto Z2 Force you can pick it up at best buy for 160 for the 64GB variant. Another good deal in line with the PH1. 👍
