Portions of the subnet mask that include a 1 identify the subnet address. This portion of the address must be the same for all hosts on the subnet.
Portions of the subnet mask that include a 0 identify the host address. This portion of the address must be unique
between all hosts.
You cannot assign the last address to a host (such as 192.168.0.255 or 10.0.255.255).
