  • I'm using kubuntu since 7 years.
Just install it and it works.
It's not necessary to do any additional step.
    I'll stick with it.

  • Linux soooo good, I’ve changed to Amd to use Linux as everyone was praising plug and play with amd, but there is no drivers in kernel of most distributions wtf 😂. 7800xt was released on September 2023.

  • right here, this is my favorite distro of all time, and you cannot change my mind

  • my first distro was Linux Mint right now i use OpenSuse Linux i can say it is just perfect but in my opinion unfortunately not for biginners

  • Dunno if you are gonna read this and this is unwarranted and no homo, but I think you would look very handsome without those glasses

  • I've tried a ton of different distros. Depending on the type of user I'd recommend either Mint, Elementary or Zorin for anyone who's new to Linux. Basically, as long as you go with a solid Ubuntu-based distro (including Ubuntu itself), you'll be golden. Only reason why I wanted to hop away from Mint and Zorin was because I didn't like the UI design language on either one of them, lol. And I'm not a huge fan of Canonical, but that's a whole different discussion.

  • how do you think it compares to linux mint? another distro that is also, and has been crowned for multiple years the best beginner distro

  • I'm using Kubuntu since 2005, I've tried different distributions but always came back to this one.

  • I am curious if Zorin drops Unity as a base for Debian, because of their snapifing future…

  • Its an OS with GUI, aren't all they supposed to be user friendly? I'm pretty sure any person can open a browser and navigate through a file system on any distro with GUI

  • Obviously, Zorin OS is about stability and as they say on their webpage, to be able to breathe a new life into an old hardware, therefore new cutting-edge HW might not be supported right away (tradeoff for stability).
I definitely think it is a viable option, especially for first time users and people coming from Windows and Mac.

  • This was my first distro and I can't tell if I would have adopted Linux completely if I started with Mint instead. Mint seems better on paper, but Cinnamon is ages behind Zorin's rendition of GNOME in so many aspects

  • I recently installed Zorin OS in my parents laptop and they love it! They never looked back to windows. While it may not fit my needs, it's perfect for them or for any casual/beginner users.

  • Honestly, I'd rather people try Zorin OS as their first Linux distro compared to Linux Mint; it was great 10 years ago, nowadays, it just feels very outdated.

  • For a newcomer i would suggest LMDE instead. It's Debian stable, but with all user friendliness of the Mint team. It has everything, simple but also customizable if you wish.

  • sir, iam currently using kali linux 2023.4 version i download davinci 18.6 when run the command ./resolve to open davinci it shows error ./resolve: symbol lookup error: /opt/resolve/bin/../libs/libgdk_pixbuf-2.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_task_set_static_name please help me to sove it

  • Gnome only? Zorin pro doesnt give KDE? 😂 What a meme distro!

  • you know what, the best distro for beginners is Arch, what is the point of using Linux, if you're not really going to learn it, oh but if it is Windows, even being a pain in the ass you will just because is Windows, just unfair
