• This was really solid. I loved the game play, the editing, mods were cool, and the no base hoards! Thanks for the series!

• nice end , a base fully renoved , a great mission well done (screw thoses screamers) and an end to the sunset 😀

• This "no horde base" playstyle was definitely fun to watch so I hope you'll keep doing it in your other series. I think it should be fine to use quality of life mods (like inventory slot lock) or mods that improve the vanilla experience (like the research table mod), though I think the mod that give you better quests needs some balancing with regards to the speed clear quests.

• Now time for Only Wasteland Insane Nightmare (If you hate yourself)

• Considering the time given for a tier 5 speed clear, I'd say the tier 6 was either bugged or not set correctly. You performed just fine, as that would've been nearly impossible short of cheating or knowing exactly where every spawn would appear (and even then…) Nice series. I do hope you give DF another go sometime. I understand your hesitation, since you like to come into something with adequate knowledge of the mechanics, regardless of the game or mod. That being said, I do think you could enjoy the mod, though given your expectations it would take a run-through offline to get a handle on all the changes from vanilla. That spiel said, I do enjoy your content and hope you can find some games you really enjoy. Thank you, truly.

• Everytime I place the research table it breaks my game where i cant access any chest fires or anything. only open doors and use items in my inventory. any fix for that other than deleting the mod?

• sub 4 min to clear a tier 6 infested isn't possible. The shear volume of zombies and the size of most t5s can take 4 min to get to the second room. (as we know)

• If a youtuber wo plays this game a lot can do a day 49 horde on pretty difficult settings that effortlessly and only getting hit 3 times in the process you can get a pretty obvious glance on the bad state in development of this game.
  I will stop building hordebases myself after having seen this. Why is it that the easiest and most encouraged path in this game always is to not bother with the game mechanics? 😂

• GNS's Beautiful Bases mod let you make the concertina wire

• I can't be sure, but I think that wire is called concertina wire.

• I challenge you to make the smallest footprint base that can handle a day 7000 horde with only traps and no fighting.

• They call that kitchen/meal/entertainment room a "Day room", I believe. It's not exactly like our day rooms, but we had separate mess halls.

• Great series; loved the shakeups you did. Desert Ranger Season 1 was the first content of yours I watched, fun to see it come back with some twists.

• i am unable to end a playthrough, they always morph into guns stealth and completionism, doesn't matter if i have a set goal, "heavy armour + mace, spear and military armour, archery build etc etc etc, i'll go past it all and keep going until all i have left is horde night. then start over, although next time i may go with one of the overhaul mods, great series again btw, looking forward to the next.

• if you ever plan on playing with Mods again.. so is there an mod that lets you craft barbwires like the ones on the fence, I believe ''Guns, Nerds, and Steel'' featured it or had made it.
  he also have an mod that lets you pick up a lot of things like pool table and bear rug and more.

  Also I feel like they should make it so you can sit in the chairs and actually interact with them, a bit like Valheim have.. would make more interesting to actually putting chairs and things in your home.

• Thusly, we do Retire the 2023 Series of Desert Ranger. Next up, Prebuilt does his Series, Dessert Ranger, where he can only eat Desserts. After that, is Desert Stranger, but I don't know that one, too well. Also, I got to say "Thusly," which is always a plus.
