  • It’s a waste of time most companies don’t care about the cert. I did it. Didn’t help one bit for job search 😂 and I just finished getting my bachelors degree back in May.

  • I am currently taking the Google Cybersecurity Certification and actually at 85% of completion of the course which i started back on July 7th and this is my brief opinion on the course:
    -I recommend it for real entry beginners or those who are planning on switching career paths, as it is very well paced, you get to be trained by actual Google security employees, and what i love the most is that you get testimonies of Google infosec employees about their work,tasks,their advices to us the learners and mostly their career paths and youll be shocked to know that most of them never started in an IT domain or never dreamt f doing computer security.
    -Also the hand on labs most especially in Linux, SQL and Python , and even the packet analysis in was really some great stuff😊.
    -In the last module of the course they teach you how to prepare a resume and how to get ready for interviews in Cybersecurity domain.
    -The time pace is really left on to you as long as you're available 😅 but you'll hear some people boast they finished in some weeks or so , bit in my opinion dont rush and make sure you digest everything being explained.
    -Lastly I don't think theres a comparison to be made with the Comptia S+, as the Google Cybersecurity Certification takes you really from 0 and tries to preapre you as to be comfortable in passing the S+ which is a worldwide renowned Certification, also i think it might have been omitted in the videos but upon completing this Certification you get a 30% voucher discount to the S+ exam so like i said its really a preliminary process unto successfully passing later your S+ exam.
    Hope my analysis helps and I'm open to any questions/help.

I am very interested to enter into cyber security also change my domain and get a job in the same. Which courses and certificates do you recommend?. Looking for your response..Thanks

  • I have Achieved IBM Cybersecurity Analyst Professional Certificate in February is it worth doing Google Cybersecurity course? As I've been invited to check and study this Course for free by coursera+ Identity India platform, is it ideal for me to invest time in google certification? Additionally, im set to appear for Certified in cybersecurity Exam by ISC² on 29 November this month, am i just stuck in the certification loop?
