They should know that there is a mini tool that edits the whole windows to disable that pesky auto update permanently called "Windows Tweaker" its free and no need to install. A quick easy app. Can remove those aero features, shortcut icon inside the icon, and many more

Windows doesn't auto update in corporations because they use Windows Enterprise edition or Windows Pro where you can schedule updates yourself. Windows Home is the only one that auto updates.
Well this is why you run most if not at least redundancy programs OFFLINE!!!
Can not stress enough how mush any of your systems are simply just harvesting your Data, run something like like, should be offline and to operating server lol
