The State of OSPOs in the Asia-Pacific Region in 2023 – Ana Jimenez Santamaria, TODO Group, Linux foundation

The TODO Group, along with the wider open source community, conducts a yearly study on open source programs worldwide, including those in the Asia-Pacific region. During this talk, we will explore the insights gathered from the survey, focusing on the outcomes from OSPOs in Asia-Pacific. The discussion will address the following topics: (1) The adoption of OSPOs and their impact in various sectors and industries. (2) How organizations strike a balance between openness and control and the role that OSPOs plays in there. (3) The roles played by OSPO people regarding open source security and the sustainability of open source ecosystems Additionally, the audience will learn about the valuable work carried out by the Japan OSPO Local Community and how individuals can join Japanese-speaking open meetups, supported by OpenChain Japan and TODO Group.
