  • Can anyone in house, since the bug report web form is currently unavailable, make a bug report based on the topic:
"Is Object Space Normals broken in 4.0?"
    over at Blenderartist materials-and-textures page?
It's basically feeding random colors (or any data?) into Normal Map Node in Object Space mode completely breaks anything that deals with Refraction. Confirmed by others.

  • Thank you for improvements. Really liked it!. Keep it up! 👍😍

  • Asset Shelf Not Working (Right Now). Explanation in the video stamps:

  • Congrats everyone in Blender Dev/community and hope you have a great trip Pablo.

  • EPIC FAIL. Not only Blender 4.0.1 won't start (Big Linux – Manjaro based). The server is down since yesterday.

  • Thanks Pablo, thanks Blender!
Here's what you could have: Blender download…also a Default Asset Library download (that goes to any other folder).

  • had difficulty downloading 4.0.1, who is ddosing our beloved blender such sad pricks

  • Have a great holiday! We'll be waiting for you when you get back! 😀

  • @1:19:00 that's what is did with save_node_preset addon from Barton. I used core code of edit_linked addon, added basic functionality to his addon and now saving node groups is way easier than how he innitialy made the addon. I did this before the asset library functionality was added, so now perhaps outdated. But the save_node_preset addon is still a de fault addon I believe.
Perhaps I should contact Barton about it, see what he thinks of it

  • Happy Holidays, Pablo !! You deserve it, no doubt. Enjoy!

  • Perhaps for the assets it would be nice if they get their own extension, but that probably will bring other problems. The current method is also not optimal, having everything in a blend file. Because donwe wrap everything in a single asset, which is smaller vs every asset in its own blend file. That's is where custom extension would come in handy. Some other engines have their own extension per item. I've worked with such system and it is quite a handy of a system. It makes file sizes much smaller

  • @1:04:30 that new picker is so much nicer
Perhaps it was my screen, but I noticed on hiver-over. It seems to have a gradient or inner dropshadow. That kinda makes the color look a bit off

  • Ps would be nice on the benchmark site if you do compare multiple items, that it would show then from left to right according to models nunbers or at least color code them

  • Auto-focus of the camera keeps re-adjusting/blurring the video…

  • Thank you for all the work you do & highlight the latest changes in Blender for a wider audience. I look forward to seeing these every week. Have a good holiday! 🙂

  • Your DOF focus object is not you lol, great live though!

  • I teach Blender to 13 to 15 year olds and Blender live is what I look forward too every week. You look like you need a holiday. Enjoy your break. Hope to see you in the New Year.

  • Thank you Pablo. Blender Today is definitely part of my week!

  • What a great year with you and the community, Pablo!
Have a nice and healthy holiday!

Also, Dalai? Brecht? Francesco? TON?! Who's coming 😀
    Hehe, let's see 🙈

  • Who would ddos Blender? They are without common decency and joy in their heart, I say!

  • Is there a way to run Blender 4.x without opengl 4.3 ? Previous versions were working with a hack (custom DLL).

  • Miss you already, Pablo. Have a great holiday! 😊
