ubuntu
Why is brand recognition a reason? I don't understand your logic.
He sounds like Kokichi Oma from Danganronpa V3!
Dual boot Windows and Ubuntu. Ubuntu is my main OS with MacOS style theme installed. I kept Windows just in case I need softwares unavailable on Ubuntu. However, I haven’t actually open Windows since I had it installed lol
Ubuntu is smooth for me I began enjoying using my PC again.
Watching it on ubuntu cinnamon remix rn.
I started using ubuntu again I did customise so the side panel is on the bottom and autohides when you hower ontop or in full screen
Guys tell me reason to switch from windows 10 to ubuntu? I found no reason
I'm a health professional and only switched for one reason – stability. I have board exams to prepare for and don't have time to wait for Windows to install updates followed by blue death screens.
I've started using Ubuntu since weeks ago. Using Microsoft Windows is such a bad idea.
The reasons-
1) Brand recognition
2) Good Hardware support
3) supports major desktop environments
4) support newer features (example- fingerprint scanning and steam support )
5) online support
Thankz
Ubuntu means, no homework for me. Solus, Fedora and so on, means homework.
I tried ubuntu and then I installed kde desktop it's way better now and faster
I play games and watch the internet videos. I wish unbuntu would have all their emulators all ready to go when you install the system and better usb support for gamepads and better support for 3d grahics all this should be already configured when you install the os
im not given up my ubuntu .over windows or mac
I thought that Mint Cinnamon runs on Ubuntu . No? I'm getting confused, I thought Joe Collins said it does. I could be mistaken tho.
no mention of PPA's? one of this family's best features if you ask me!
Ubuntu is like windows from the open source world. 😂
Hey STL, thanks for another great video. Question for you – which Linux distros are the most vetted and checked in detail? Do we take the benign nature of Linix OSes on faith, owing to them being FOSS? I know that Linux based OSes are much less probable of doing anything sinister as compared to Windoze but still, I think the distributions that have a very high number of eyes investigating the source from a critical standpoint are, probably for the lack of a better word, more trustworthy (although I don't like to use this word here when talking anything Linux as it's very trustworthy). Here is a reddit that discusses this –

For people concerned about Ubuntu sending back even little bit of data about themselves (their machine specs), you can use Lubuntu, Xubuntu, or Ubuntu MATE as they don't have telemetry, as far as I know.
I would like clarification on what data Ubuntu is getting is getting via telemetry other than the popularity contest cron?
BTW, that same thing is in Debian9.
