Troubleshoot A Laptop Not turning On But Light Is On – EASY FIX
To troubleshoot a laptop not turning on but with led light on (steady orange in this case), you should first test the laptop charger just out of pure precaution with a multimeter.
Next, perform a hard reset, which means pressing and holding down the power button for a few seconds (15-30), preferably with the battery out if possible, to discharge static electricity.
Finally, remove the batter, perform a hard reset, and plug in the charger without the battery. In this case, the battery turned out to be faulty, preventing the laptop to turn on. You can either buy a replacement battery, compatible ones are cheaper, or use the laptop continuously plugged into the mains power.
Remember to back up all your personal data regularly.
