During the 1920s and 30s, especially due to Prohibition and the Great Depression, America had no shortage of criminal outlaws. Many of those villains became folk heroes, modern day Robin Hoods, and decades after their criminal rampages and deaths nearly all of them have become household names. Bonnie & Clyde are perhaps the most famous. Written and Hosted by Colin D. Heaton. Forgotten History is a 10th Legion Pictures Production.

Great episode! Nicely done Sir. Kudos from Canada 🇨🇦
We are rapidly approaching full circle where the masses loathe law enforcement and financial institutions again. Funny how most Americans now want to elect an outlaw for President. I think progressives always produce the same results. But history is not taught or learned without much personal suffering.
Great channel. I’m always smarter after having watched an episode.
Another great episode, Collin. Love the channel.
Hell isn't hot enough for those bastards
I would feel much safer in the company of Bonnie & Clyde than I would in the company of Joe & Hunter Biden.
The officers only shot 14 rounds huh? Have you seen that car?!! I think like others through history, a lot got blamed on them that they didn't do. Not saying they were good.
Flatt and Scruggs had a very good song called The Story Of Bonnie &
Clyde. It is on YT.
If the DNC steals the election again- GET USE TO MORE CRIME AND OUTLAWS. It’s going to get ALOT WORSE.
So many interesting family stories about the couple.
I have non.
Watched the movies growing up, that's all. Haha 😄
The cuts between pictures are too fast and then white wash effect is very annoing. Makes watching a challenge, I am so focesed on tring to see what is being shown, that I miss the naration, please do not adopt this technique on future vids.
This video is a great introduction and primer on Bonnie and Clyde but if you want a much longer form, 3 hours and 20 minutes long, video that goes into more of the details of their crimes may I suggest The Casual Criminalist's video "Bonnie and Clyde: Lovers, Outlaws, Morons"
👍
? East Chosen Taskforce Drysdale, Hell Fire Valley, North Korean spoke good English & Taskforce Faith?
My Mom was a little girl growing up in North Louisiana and remembered when this was going on. She said everyone was in Fear of these murderers . They lived way out in the. Country. Not too many vehicles came by but when they did mama said her mama would holler for her to get in the house.
🇺🇸
I just last week stopped by Swiss Circle. The place where Bonnie was a waitress.
It was saved and stands today because of the connection with Bonnie and Ted Hinton.
Spent many hours there in the past.
It was broken up into three suites . The Cafe was the center one.
Any time they come out with a new video I’m having a better day. Thanks as always guys.🇺🇸
Hoover shined a whole lot of publicity onto a bunch of common crooks to divert attention away from the mafia and to make him the hero. The mob had incriminating photos of him with other men. He even said there was no mafia. The public really knew nothing about the mob until Joe Valachi’s testimony.
Bonnie and Clyde were depression era trash. Unconscionable killers.
The death car was in Verdi, NV outside of Reno for a long time in a small casino before moving it down near Vegas. Pretty gnarly to see in person.
At about 2:30, you state that they moved to Dallas in 1922 in the midst of the Great Depression. The GD started in 1929. Maybe you mis-stated the dates.
Americans love us some outlaws 🤗
I'm currently reading a long book called Public Enemies, which details the numerous criminals which the FBI was hunting, the bank robbers, not the mafia which is a totally different can of worms. There was a long list of others who have been on the run, some of which i hadn't heard of as well
Colin
How about Andrew Jackson
Some love him some hate him but he was a strong military presence and had his beliefs. The central bank charter was his big mistake imo even though Jefferson and state rights is a good thing, look at us today with centralized power. Indians and Slaves were tough issues in those days, add England France Spain to the mix.
My dad had a Ford model A coupe with the v-8 just like Clyde. He said it was fast. To bad the cops wouldn’t leave them alone, who knows if he had kept his glass factory job what would have happened.
Self defense for sure

Hard life when things go wrong early.
Can't imagine it's fun being hunted like a fox for years.
They were much uglier than any of the actors who have played them on television and in movies. I don’t believe that Robin Hood business. They were murderers and thieves. They kept the money for their cheap pleasures. At best, they threw a few bucks to people who helped them or covered for them. They did nothing that really helped correct the injustices of that time. They were criminals, not heroes. Also , John Dillinger was way more famous than them until that stupid 1967 movie 🎥.
About 25 years ago, when my sister and I were teenagers, we were driving through Grapevine, Texas and saw a landmark on the side of the road. We pulled over and read it. I don't remember details, but it was a landmarker for where Bonnie and Clyde had shot and killed a police officer.
